Install on Windows

Birch Code ships as a self-contained .zip — no separate .NET install required.

Download

Grab the latest Windows build from the releases page or use the Download button on getbirch.dev.

The file is named Birch-X.Y.Z-win-x64.zip.

Install

1. Unzip the archive to any folder (for example, C:\Program Files\Birch).
2. Run Birch.exe.

SmartScreen warning

The current builds are not yet code-signed. On first launch, Windows SmartScreen will show:

Windows protected your PC

Click More info → Run anyway to proceed. Signed installers with auto-updates are planned for a future release.

Uninstall

Delete the folder where you unzipped Birch Code. The app does not write to the registry; preferences live in %APPDATA%\Birch.
